We still exist ... no really
Now all jokes aside, we've been on exam break for a while now, so I'm back with some brand new (not APL 3 yet, sorry) tournaments. As you teams have probably noticed, there's some downtime between tournaments. Now, numerous fan tournaments have been springing up all over the place, which is absolutely fantastic, but I've pulled two of the people behind them over to this forum, where we can have all the resources for competitive naut's in one place. It makes it easier for newer teams to find, and makes it easier for the organizers to keep a track of things. Trying to find the right information within 7-8 page threads is a absolute nightmare.
And so, without further adue, we have:
Hexicube's Awesomenauts Fan Series
http://awesomenautsproleague.com/forums/awesomenauts-fan-series.56/
A series of back to back double elimination tournaments. sign ups are via first come first served, and are open right now, so get over there. This is great...

Hey everyone I have an update for you all. I am stepping down as the "head" of the APL and Evan is now taking over. This decision was hard but sadly I just don't have the time anymore, and have new projects I am working on.
I will still be around to help when I can and will for sure check out the APL3 stream! It's hard to believe how big the APL has grown since when I first had the idea for it, and with the help from Metamist and the guys over at Ronimo we were able to make it happen! Then after the first APL I decided to bring a few more people on board to the staff. Now the APL is huge and the amount of teams is unbelievable and I'm sure it will grow bigger and better every tourney. I wish all of you players, fans, spectators, etc the best of luck and I am looking forward to seeing where the APL goes from here.
Best wishes,
T

Hello everyone!
We'd like to thank you all for making this APL2 tournament such a success! For those who missed out, this will be a quick recap of the action.
Qualifiers
40 teams signed up for our qualifiers, held from March 5th - 8th. While we had allotted ~1.5 weeks for signups, we had to close them in just two days! With such an overwhelming response, it ensures APL3 will be even bigger and better!
Making it through our qualifier rounds were some very big name teams, and some new entries to this fledgling competitive scene. Some notable mentions are BadAku, NerfPlz, ronma, AWFUL, Balls of Steel, Nip-Slip, Monkeynauts, and 3 Headed Monkey, who all went undefeated in their qualifier groups.
Tournament
Day one saw the majority of the APL2 matches being played in this 16-team double-elimination rules tournament. Seven matches total were able to be covered over on the...
